How many pairs of socks do I get each month if I subscribe?

Adults get one pair of rad socks delivered every month. Kiddos get two pairs of socks — because they inexplicably lose things and go through an absurd amount of laundry and we're just trying to help parents and caretakers out, you know?

How long will it take for my socks to arrive?

We process new orders right away. So you’ll get your socks within four to eight days after purchase if you live in the United States. International delivery times vary, and can take up to three weeks (or longer, depending on how far away you live) depending on a crapload of factors beyond our control.

I don’t live in the U.S. Can I still subscribe?

Yes! We offer international shipping! A cause for celebration around the world. Shipping is always free with any of our subscriptions, and just $3 USD per individual pair. To any country. Worldwide.

What kinds of benefits do I get when I subscribe?

So many benefits. ALL the benefits! You’ll get free shipping on all subscriptions, plus free shipping on any order over $10. I'm a subscriber, so how do I get my 20% off discount? Or free shipping?

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy! All you have to do is log in to your account — either before or during the checkout process. Your 20% off discount will automatically be applied to any individual sock purchase (AKA, anything that’s not a subscription). But please note: in order to receive your 20% off discount, you cannot have a subscription in your cart at the same time. And free shipping will automatically be applied, too, as long as your order total is more than $10.

Can I buy a subscription for someone else?

But of course! You can choose to pay monthly and send them socks every month for as long as you want to keep paying. Or you can buy them one of our awesome sock sets because they make gr8 gifts. Or you can always buy them a gift card and let them choose their own path in the Foot Cardigan world. 

How do I create an account?

Click on the account icon on the top left side of the page. Register with your name, email, and create a password — then MAGIC! You'll be able to view and manage your orders, as well as make sure your billing and shipping information is accurate.

I already have a subscription. How do I access my account?

Just click on the account icon on the top left side of the page. Enter the email address associated with your subscription and create a password. Account = created. Now you can manage your subscriptions, update info, and other nifty things like that

How do I update my billing and/or shipping information?

For Pay Monthly Subscriptions, you can update your info anytime your little heart desires by logging into your Account page and clicking "View Addresses." Then update away. Oh, and you can always send us an email at with questions. We'll make sure to get you taken care of real nice.

For Pay Once Subscriptions, just send us an email with the new address to and we’ll send you confirmation once we’ve made the update.


What if I don’t like the socks I get?

Not possible. Never going to happen. You will love them and you will wear them and your life will be better because of them. But if you really don’t like the socks you get, we suggest giving them to someone as a gift or making a sock puppet since we don’t accept exchanges. It’s part of the beauty of randomness, y’know?

How do I get more than one pair of socks per month?

Grow more feet! Lolz jk. If one pair of Foot Cardigans just isn’t enough for you, add another Subscription or individual pair of socks to your cart. Don’t worry about getting two of the same design if you have multiple subscriptions. Each pair in your monthly shipment will be different.

How do I know what size to get?

Here’s how our sizing works for our different adult styles:

Our kids’ socks are sized by age range. Here’s how that works:

Our socks are super stretchy and fit a wide variety of feet. If you get some that don’t fit, just send them back to us and we’ll replace ‘em. Get specific instructions in our Return Policy.

What are your socks made of?

Our socks are made of 75% combed cotton, 22% polyester, and 3% elastane. Our Premium socks are made of 80% modal, 17% polyester, and 3% elastane. All of our socks are 100% delightful.

How do I care for my Foot Cardigans?

After your first tender moments together, machine wash them in cold water with like colors. Line dry. And don’t rip the tag off like a savage. Snip it delicately with scissors. Then let your Foot Cardigans caress your feet for ages to come.

Some designs fit/feel different than others. Why why WHY?

Different designs call for different amounts of thread. We use the same material blend and weight in our socks, but the more intricate the design, the more thread will be used. This gives the sock a thicker and sometimes different feel, purely because of the amount of thread used to make the sock.

Why do you measure the kids’ socks by age instead of size?

Not even a certified member of Mensa understands how kids’ shoes and sock sizing works. And since socks can stretch and whatnot, we just decided to assign a rough age range to which they’ll usually fit. If your child has small or large feet, let us know and we’ll make sure they get the right size.

How do I prevent getting duplicate socks if I’m buying a new subscription for someone who subscribed previously?

First, be sure to click the box on the cart page letting us know you’re buying a subscription for someone who's been a subscriber. Second, we try our best to match everything in our system — from recipient name and address to their email address. But sometimes, technology happens and things go awry. For instance, if you bought a subscription for your friend Fred last year but this year decide to call him Freddiepants…well, stuff happens and Freddiepants will likely get duplicate socks. We of course don’t want that to happen and will make it right if it does. 

How do I cancel my subscription?

Well, boo. Can we still be friends? All you have to do is email us and we’ll take care of it. See our Cancellation and Refund Policies for more specific info.

Cancellation policy:

  • For Pay Monthly subscribers, we’ll continue to charge your credit card and send socks to you every month until you cancel your subscription.
  • To cancel, log in to your account page, click Edit Subscription, then choose Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the page. Or send us an email at to let us know you want to cancel.
  • If you cancel by email, please include the following info: Your name, subscription type, and the address where you receive your socks. That way, we’ll be sure to cancel only your subscription and not one you may have sent as a gift.
  • We’ll stop sending socks the month immediately following your cancellation request.
  • We must receive your cancellation 48 hours before subscription renewal to cancel your subscription the following month. If we receive your cancellation less than 48 hours before subscription renewal, then you will be charged for the following month and your subscription will be cancelled the month after.
